this news tells about 57,000 people have been infected with corona virus in Singapore but only 27 of them died. Reuters looks at how the island nation has handled the pandemic.

Comment about the text :

with this news, we can be more careful when going out of the house and also with this news we can know how danger is this virus.

Something new : 

from this news, I can learn some new vocabulary such as: treatment, otherwise, strictly. And from this news, I have to be more careful and always adhere to the health protocol regulations.

Rising magma and empty coffers, following an allegation of embezzlement, has left volcano watchers in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo worried that they will not be able to provide an early warning if a volcano towering over the city of Goma erupts.

I think, this news is very important because with this news, residents can be more aware of volcano eruptions.

Description :

In the wake of a series of shootings that claimed the lives of 8 people in the Atlanta area, including 6 women of Asian descent, James Corden looks at the alarming rise in violence targeting the Asian community, and how hate speech and action are linked. And it's well past time we all address the hate that is at the center of these crimes.

Comment about the text :

This news is very important. I think it's a big deal, the perpetrators should be punished accordingly for what they did to the people of Asian ancestry.

Something new :

from this news, I can learn some new vocabulary such as : horrible, pervasive. and from this news, I have learned that there are still many who cannot be trusted in this world.

-Stevan as office workers

In my opinion, this news is very shocking and I can't help thinking that there are people who do something like that just because of Asian descent. My co-worker is of Asian descent and after she heard this news she was very shocked and made her a more alert person to us.

- Emily as housewife

In my opinion, the government should put more emphasis on its citizens not to see someone only from their descendants. Asians are also human beings who need a decent life like other people and what happens to some Asians here is very reflective of how people view Asian descent as bad descent.

-Robert as a teacher

I am very sad about what happened to Asian people in this country. I hope God will always be with the victim's family. and I hope the perpetrators are punished according to their deeds to the Asian people.
